RNA splicing.
The primary RNA transcript in eukaryotes contains introns
(non-coding regions) as well as exons
(coding regions).
Enzymes called spliceosomes
remove the introns
and splice together the exons
to produce the mature mRNA transcript,
which exits
the nucleus.
